We also prioritize ethical sourcing with strict supplier compliance and robust traceability. All of our facilities are registered with the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex), the largest collaborative platform for sharing ethical supply chain data. Additionally, we work with regulatory agencies at the federal, state and local levels where we operate to protect animal health and well-being and ensure compliance to application regulations.

We responsibly manage the water we use and generate in our operations, and we are committed to monitoring and mitigating water risks and continuously exploring and employing a variety of water recovery and reuse processes that help increase efficiency.
We are a member of the Gelatin Manufacturers of Europe (GME) association, which has established a sustainable development committee responsible for the environmental, social and economic dimension of the European gelatin industry.

Our raw material suppliers must guarantee that their materials are sourced from authorized establishments, providing animals fit for human consumption, inspected by veterinarians and compliant with relevant regulations concerning animal welfare.

We prohibit the employment of underage children and the use of forced or compulsory labor in any of our global operations and expect our suppliers to do the same, as outlined in our Supplier Code of Conduct and Human Rights Policy.
All of our sites currently registered with Sedex, is a world-leading ethical trade organization that helps businesses improve working conditions in global supply chains and assesses on-site standards of labor, workplace health and safety, as well as environmental and business ethics. Rousselot has been a member of Sedex since 2010.
